Say Cheese- Picture Time

This week we learned how to modify pictures using free online software. Picassa is one of many available resources to edit photos but this one is free which is nice. Using pictures during lessons is a great way to engage the students in their learning. Because we live in a digital world students need to learn how to use digital cameras.

Schools have tight budgets and they need to get the most of their money. Researching which camera would be best for the classroom was the other thing we did this week. Students can take pictures using the schools camera to document major events over the year and take pictures of science projects.

Finally we made a mind-map using Kidspiration, Wow! What an awesome tool. Something like Kidspiration can be used by both teachers and students to teach lessons.

Overall I feel the week was pretty eventful. I'm happy to learn the things that I did.

  1. I'm glad you like the things you are using--that means you will probably use them in the classroom!
