Guess what guys? We learned about Vidcast this week! My partner and I made a video explaining how to make a foldable. Our students would use foldable to show what they learned about an assigned state. We then took our video and uploaded it to YouTube. I love my video because it is awesome.
What this means for my future students is that they can watch my amazing videos and it will change their lives. What this means for me is that I get to have fun making videos. I know that sometimes students need something explained more than once and a video that I can replay would help. Also some students are more visual learners and a video they can watch will help them learn. I would use a vidcast to give example of what I'm expecting from my students. That way when they are at home their parents, the parents will also be able to know what I'm expecting from their students.
After learning about Vidcast I totally know that I will use them in the future. If I teach multiple years in the same grades I will make videos of previous projects. That why I can show a high light real at the beginnning of the year so my students can know what to expect throughout the upcoming year.
I also think that videos will also help parents feel more apart of the classroom.
Overall Vidcasts are cool.
