For my field experience I am working in a fourth grade class. We are doing our digital story on Utah history so of course we are talking about Mormon Pioneers. We found some amazing images showing the history of the Pioneers travels across the plains the only problem was that they were copy righted. Here comes the good news, I e-mailed the artist and we were given permission to use the images for our digital story. I am so happy. Pictures say a thousand words and these images are amazing I can't believe that the artist was so cool to allow me to use the works. All that he requested was that we send him a copy of our finished work which I found very reasonable.
Field is going great. I love our class because our teacher is an eMints teacher so her class has a bunch of computers and she also has a promethean board which is awesome. It makes me happy that we have so much technology to use. They students totally get how to use the equipment. The possibilities are limitless I can't wait to get in there and use the technology to teach.
Another cool thing that our classroom has is a microphone. So as we are teaching we get to have our voice magnified. I think that it is great because if the students can hear us they will be able to hear what we are trying to teach them.
Overall field is going great I can't wait to go and do some more cool stuff.
